No More Comments

Right, I have made it so that only registered users can comment, as the spam was annoying me. I would have just put captcha back on but it wasn't working.

I was thinking of trying to get reCaptcha working but not sure how as I don't know enough php.

Anyone that wants to post comments just send me an e-mail and I will make you a user. Any comments you have could also be e-mailed to me.

If any one happens to know how to get captcha working with CuteNews 1.4.5 send me an e-mail.

New Guitar, Ruby on Rails, Job/s

Well, I got a new guitar (Yamaha APX500), its pretty nice (black) and plays pretty nice as well. Its my first acoustic and I feel a good choice. Now got a case on order for it. (Got guitar and case from Merchant City Music).

Had a "quick" run through of this tutorial for ruby on rails. It would have been quick if my so called quick methods of try ruby I found had worked. Ended up just installing it all using MacPorts, and then everything worked. Other than that, good tutorial and ruby on rails is pretty awesome. Now all I need to do is learn ruby and rails.

Also, working as a tester for summer again :( (awwww) but do need to start looking for a real job. Not quite sure what at the moment but will have a think.

New theme

I created a new theme, using css, so its all nice now.

Also no more blogger for this, back to cutenews, its much better.

After eventually working out that it was Rob (via the wonders of the internet :P) posting all the crazy comments and in the process fixing the site a bit. Here is some information:

I plan on changing the site and upgrading the backend soon which should fix things. This also means moving away from blogger and back to cutenews.
Also I do need more posts.

iClip 4 Review

I have been using iClip for possibly about a year, can't remember exactly, started using version 3 anyway. I feel lost without it when I am using another computer and the new iClip 4 is no exception. iClip 4 is more than just a clipboard recorder, its an invaluable tool to aid memory and a short-term backup of information.

iClip 4's interface is sensible, not too cluttered that you can't find anything and contains enough that what you need is right there. The multiple clipboards iClip offers are great for storing addresses so you can enter them in order forms without making a mistake. However I find the best function of iClip is the clipboard recorder. It offers be a awesome quick backup tool for long bits of text, mainly in online forms. As I'm sure you have experienced some issues with forms, you click the 'submit' button after writing some text in a web form and, BANG, the website has signed you out and you have no hope in getting back all that text you just spent 30 minutes writing. This happened to me the other day filling in a job application, but being prepared for this I did a copy of all the text every now and then and it doesn't matter if you then have to copy a few words around after this as iClip will be holding you text for as many copy bins you have set, I have 8, works like a charm.





Although, I have only talked about copying text, iClip can hold anything in its clipping bins, pictures, files, links, anything. All of which have a different background picture so you can easily tell whats stored in there.
